Your application has been approved and you’re going to sign your papers. You’re almost ready to move in. Here are the final steps.
What to bring when its time to sign the papers? All parties signing papers need to be present and bring the following items:
1. Copy of your drivers license(s)
2. Copy of your Social Security Card(s)
3. Copy of your most recent pay stub(s)
4. Copy of your last 3 rent payments
5. Your funds for your option fee and your first months rent. They need to be in the form of a Cashiers Check made payable to “Home At Last”. No personal checks please.
What do you need to do before you get the keys?
1. Transfer all the utilities into your name.
For SPRINGFIELD contact, City Utilities at 417-863-9000. Also, if your house is on Village Lane call Ozark Electric for electricity at 417-725-5160. If your house is on State Highway H, call MFA for propane at 417-869-0761.
For OZARK contact, Liberty Utilities at 800-206-2300 and Ozark Water Supply at 417- 581-2744 and Spire (for Natural Gas) at 800-582-1234.
For NIXA contact, Nixa City Utilities at 417-725-3229 and Spire (Gas) at 800-582-1234
For STRAFFORD contact, Southwest Electric at 833-5525 and City of Strafford (water) at 736-2154.
For ROGERSVILLE contact, Webster Electric at 859-2216 and Titan Propane at 864-4200.
2. Set up your trash service. WCA (851-1900), or Republic (865-1717), or Pendergrass (862-5142) or other company of your choosing.
